Beautiful Beginnings Pt. 2

This past Saturday went pretty well! I am so thankful for the lovely ladies that allowed me to express my creativity through the art of makeup. I am learning so much! Please enjoy the beauty transformations captured by my gracious photographer pal David. I think we are on our way to becoming a fabulous Photographer/MUA duo!

This past Saturday was so amazing for me as I was able to see the beginning of a life dream start to unfold (Praise God!) Update: Girls Day/Makeup Sessions - Beautiful Canvases Needed (Schedule Change)

Hi Dolls!

I just met with my photographer David this evening, and if possible, he would like me to change the date of my Girls Day/Makeup Sessions so that he can serve the event in a better capacity. In order for him to be available during the scheduled time period, David proposed moving the event from May 2nd to either Saturday,April 25th or Saturday, May 9th (preferably May 9th). David is planning to rent professional lighting equipment in order to capture the best shots possible! Are any of you available on either of those days? The time block (1 hr slots) will still be 11:00AM-5:00PM (I can actually work past 5:00PM, but David might not be available to snap photos after 5:00PM). Please let me know! I know that he is looking forward to working with us! :-)

Beautiful Canvases Needed

As an aspiring part-time makeup artist, I am working towards building a portfolio that represents a diverse collection of makeup application techniques and looks. The key element to expressing most art forms is to begin with a canvas -- facial canvases are needed to practice makeup artistry!

I would like to accomplish the following looks:

• Glamour (Evening/Special Event)
• Beauty (Everyday Application/Day Look)
• Bridal (Bride/Bridesmaid)
• Time Periods (1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s)
  
  Please post a comment indicating the look that you would like me to create. Note: If you are up for it and have the time, I can apply makeup for multiple looks (I just need to wash off your previous makeup application, and start over!)

What you'll need to bring:
I will try my best to have the correct foundation (base), concealer, and powder; however, please feel free to bring your favorite foundation/concealer/powder with you to help ensure that I have the correct color to match your skin tone.

Eyebrows - Eyebrows are typically one of the focal areas of the face. Well-groomed eye brows help to open the face up and maximize the appearance of your makeup application.

Hair - In order to have a finished look, I might need to do some additional styling to your hair. If you have any favorite hair styling products, please feel free to bring them with you!

Outfits - Depending on the look that you choose, it will be awesome to rock an outfit that compliments your makeup application! (Example: Glamour Look - Wear a cute black dress or clothes you were typically wear for a night out!) If you need help with styling your outfit, let me know! :-)

Makeup Session Photography
A friend will be taking professional style photographs for the makeup session on at least one of the dates (May 2 or May 3). Please let me know if you are comfortable with having your picture taken as we both would appreciate the opportunity to include the photographs in our portfolios.
